Dispatch & Delivery

If your item is listed with a dispatch time of more than 2 weeks we will email you one week before your item is due to ship. For dispatch times of less than two weeks, you will simply receive a shipping confirmation with courier and tracking details on the eve of dispatch.

All our memory foam products are shipped with City Link (tel: 08444 930 930) on a next working day service. Deliveries are anytime Mon-Fri between
8am and 5:30pm on the standard service.


Highland and offshore deliveries including
Northern Ireland usually take 2-3 working days and extra charges will apply.

City Link will make two delivery attempts within the normal shipping charge and will leave a card to notify you when a delivery attempt has been made. If you do not contact them after the first attempt to arrange delivery on a different day they will automatically try again on the following working day. After two failed delivery attempts you will have to collect the item from your local City Link depot or pay additional redelivery charges.

For convenience you may want to consider having items shipped to a work address. Delivery dates are provided as estimates only. Although the courier operates an excellent service we cannot guarantee delivery days.

Items must be checked on arrival as you will asked to sign for items received 'in good condition'. If items are damaged in anyway the good can either be refused or the damage noted on the signature form. If items are signed for in good condition we will not be able offer a refund or an exchange if damage is later found.

Memory Foam Shop items are sent compressed and roll packed so will need to be left for 12 hours or more to expand after opening. If you believe you have received the incorrect item please check the manufacturer label for a product code. There will be a code denoting the size by letter and numbers relating to layer thickness e.g D62 = Double mattress 8 inch (ie. 6+2=8), K73 = KingSize mattress 10 inch (7+3=10), or X93 = SuperKingSize mattress 12 inch (9+3=12).

How do I pay for my purchase?

The Memory Foam Shop accept Paypal and all major Credit card and Debit cards.

 

If I order an item today when will it be dispatched and how long will it take to arrive?

Orders received before midday Mon-Fri will be dispatched the same day to arrive the next working day before 5:30pm. Orders received after midday will be dispatched on the following working day to arrive the next working day. Orders placed at the weekend will be dispatched on Monday. Although reliable, courier delivery dates are not guaranteed.

 

Do you deliver at the weekends? Can I specify a time for delivery?

At The Memory Foam Shop we strive to keep our prices competitive. Due to the expense of weekend and timed deliveries we only dispatch our items on a standard service which will deliver anytime up until 5:30pm.
 

I've just paid for my items through Paypal, can you deliver to an alternative address?

Unfortunately we can't as Paypal rules state very clearly that items can only be sent to a registered address supplied at the time of payment. You must register any alternative addresses for family or work with your account before ordering if you wish to pay through Paypal, or alternatively please pay by credit/debit card.
 

Can I come and collect my order to save on delivery charges?

Collection of Memory Foam Shop products are only possible for orders of 4 or more items, excluding memory foam pillows. Unless otherwise specified all goods are located in Bristol at our third party warehouse. There are no discounts for collection and payment must be made at least one full working day in advance.

 

Can you ship outside the UK? Does the courier charge extra for offshore UK deliveries?

The Memory Foam Shop only ships to UK address, and yes the courier does charge extra for offshore deliveries including Northern Ireland. Charges vary from £15 for a memory foam mattress topper or £25 for a memory foam mattress to Northern Ireland. Other islands may vary, so please contact us in advance of ordering for a price.

 

My mattress/topper has arrived but it appears to be smaller than I ordered?

Memory Foam Shop mattresses and toppers are compress packaged and tightly rolled for convenience and economy, so a 12 inch mattress will only look about 2-3 inches thick inside the package. Please check the label where a letter followed a number will denote the size with S = Single mattress/topper, D = Double mattress/topper, K = Kingsize mattress/toppper and X = Super Kingsize mattress/toppper.


I've opened my mattress but it hasn't expanded to its full size.

Some memoryfoam mattresses can take longer than others to reach their full size. Using the mattress or topper will help it become supple and expand as it reacts to your body temperature. We ask all our customers to allow for 14 days of use from opening before contacting us with this issue as this will give the mattress the time it needs to fully expand and relax.

What is your returns policy?

All Memory Foam Shop products must be returned at the cost of the buyer and refunds may be subject to charges for the original postage. Memory foam products cannot be returned once they have been opened so please be careful in making your purchase and check for any damage before accepting goods. Returns are at the discretion of the Memory Foam Shop customer services manager.

How do I return an item?

If you wish to returned an unopened Memory Foam Shop item please contact us within 7 days of receipt. Please note that goods must be returned on a track-able service at the buyers cost.

The Memory Foam Shop cannot accept returns of any products once they have been opened so please check sizes and requirements before buying. Customers should satisfy themselves that any item choice made is suitable for their intended purpose or use before making a purchase as we do not currently offer a satisfaction guarantee with our products.

If goods appear damaged on arrival either refuse the item or note the damage on the form you will be asked to sign. If goods are signed for as 'received in good condition' or even 'unchecked' we will be unable to offer a refund or replacement if damage is later found. If a friend of neighbour is receiving goods on your behalf you must ensure they inspect goods before signing for them.
